Q: What type of vacuum will be used?
A:
Chinook Power-Vac’s trucks are equipped with the largest truck-mounted systems available (25-30 000 cfm for our truck-mounted vacuums and our air compressors operate at 200-250
psi).
Chinook Power-Vac has a fleet of truck-mounted vacuums.
These vacuum’s are CaddyVacs, the largest commercial vacuum available.
We are able to move over 30 000 cubic feet or air per minute.
Q: What agitation methods will be used during the cleaning process?
A:
Our highly skilled and experienced operators have at their disposal a variety of 250 psi compressed air cleaning tools, uniquely crafted for duct cleaning.
These tools are used to agitate and dislodge material in the air duct, moving it down the duct line to where our vacuum hose is connected at the furnace, drawing the unwanted material out to the truck.
Without agitation in the cleaning process, you would get little to no movement of duct debris.
All waste material inside the air system is knocked loose using specialty air tools.
Once free, contaminates are removed by the vacuum system to the truck located outside the building, which eliminates contamination of your work environment.
Q: Do you follow WCB and WHIMIS procedures?
A:
Yes.
Chinook Power-Vac has strict obeisance policies for WCB rules and regulations.
As well, any products used by our employees must be WHIMIS certified.
We also ensure our employees know and follow all rules pertaining to the particular job
settings. Chinook Power Vac will use NADCA approved methodology on
any Heating, Ventilation or Air Conditioning cleaning we undertake.
Q: What if I have a sick building?
A:
If you suspect that you have a sick building, and wish to solve indoor air quality
(IAQ) problems, go directly to the source - go to the building's ductwork.
Chinook Power-Vac would be happy to come on site and provide you with a free quote.
Q: When is clean – ‘clean’?
A:
To some, the term "air duct cleaning", implies that just the system cleaning, including all ductwork, fans, coils and other components, will yield positive results.
Naturally, if only a portion of the system is cleaned, the areas that were not will quickly re-contaminate the rest.

We are completely flexible and prepared to work around your schedules.
Work days, weekends and extended durations of work are not a problem for Chinook
